Job Summary:
The Test Technician supports the Test Department by executing and managing test activities for haircare appliances within the RDD environment. This includes operating and maintaining lab equipment, managing test documentation in PLM systems, and ensuring compliance with safety and testing standards. The role requires hands-on technical skills, attention to detail, and collaboration with engineers and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Equipment & Facility Management
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot test rigs, lab equipment, and assigned test areas.
- Ensure calibration schedules and records are up to date.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with the Safety & Health Policy.
2. Test Execution & Management
- Conduct validation, development, and investigative tests assigned.
- Ensure timely execution of test activities in line with the test plan.
- Follow international (e.g., IEC, ASTM) and internal (e.g., DTM) test standards.
3. PLM System Ownership
- Own and manage test records in the PLM system.
- Create and update Test ID, link requirements and Test Methods, and generate test reports.
- Contribute to problem reports and maintain accurate documentation.
4. Reporting & Documentation
- Provide regular updates on test progress and results.
- Prepare clear and concise test reports and visual documentation.
5. Test Method & Rig Development
- Support Test Engineers in revising or developing new test methods (DTMs).
- Assist Engineers in modification or development of new test rigs to support evolving test needs.
6. Team Collaboration
- Work under the guidance of Test Engineers and Test Supervisors.
- Train and support operators in test procedures and lab practices.
7. Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other related tasks as assigned to support the Test Department’s goals.
