Dyson has an opportunity for a power electronics engineer intern to join the highly successful Electrical Power Systems team in the Philippines.

Electrical Power Systems is a multidisciplinary team responsible for developing the electronics hardware behind Dyson Digital Motors and power-dense Li-Ion battery systems. Dyson Digital Motors are small and light yet extremely powerful; they power the next generation of handheld vacuum cleaners and the revolutionary Dyson hair care range. Dyson battery management systems provide the high-power energy sources required to power the category-leading cord-free and robot products.

About the role

In an internship programme within the Global Power Systems—Electrical Power Systems team, you will be involved in specifying, designing, and testing the power electronic circuits for new and pioneering consumer or home appliance products. You will also be involved in “in-life” project activities to ensure continued production. Engineers at all levels support the projects, providing a great opportunity to develop and improve your skills and knowledge of power electronics.

About you

The ideal candidate will:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electronics, electrical, computer engineering or equivalent technical degree.

  • Have an interest in the design and development of power electronics.

  • Demonstrate a passion for hardware development in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

  • Have proven ability to design, build, and test hardware independently.

  • Bring a systematic and thorough approach to documentation.

  • Be highly motivated and can be capable of communicatinge complex ideas to various people individual at different levels within the business.

  • Have strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver high-quality results independently.

  • Actively support the development of ideas to solve problems.

  • Be passionate about Dyson and our its technology to help us meet our ambitious targets for the future.

Please note that this role is for full-time onsite internship in Calamba, Laguna, from May to August 2025.
