About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Global Demand Planning team at Dyson. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in demand forecasting, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration within a global framework of Dyson. The intern will support key ongoing planning activities while exploring feasibility & applications of new technologies into this function.
Key responsibilities:
Assist in the development and maintenance of demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and statistical models. Explore applications of AI tech into current Dyson processes. Challenge the existing ways of working with faster turnaround leveraging analytical tools.
Support monthly demand review processes and help prepare materials for S&OP meetings.
Collaborate with regional teams to gather insights and validate forecast assumptions.
Analyse forecast accuracy and identify root causes of deviations.
Help automate reporting tools and dashboards to improve visibility and decision-making.
Participate in cross-functional projects involving supply chain, sales, marketing, and finance.
Drive the digitization of demand planning through innovation and process simplification
About you
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or master’s degree in supply chain management, Business Analytics, Computer Science, AI/ML technologies, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills; challenge the status quo and bring groundbreaking fresh ideas to the team.
Willingness to experiment with statistical forecasting methods / LLM modelling, AI techniques, Big Query etc.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
