About the role 

As our Category Manager Home, you will: 

  • Drive commercial success by fully understanding the market, consumer, media landscape, competitors across 8 direct websites and 26 markets, in collaboration with distributors. 
  • Maintain frequent communication with top distributors, responding to their inquiries and campaign requests. Act as a strategic advisor for their marketing activities, supporting their understanding of the overall Dyson strategy and product range. 
  • Champion Environmental Care category as a key priority in seasonal moments and maintain relevance year-round.  
  • Oversee forecasting and align it with budgeting and demand planning for the categories.  
  • Maximize sales and profitability of existing products in collaboration with the Sales function, continuously reviewing and resetting tactics as needed.  
  • Be able to analyse financials, sales performance, and work with insights (e.g., GFK data, Brand tracker, other insights studies) to present business risks and opportunities. Feed consumer insights back into our plans and campaign execution.   
  • Support with implementation and delivery of the key marketing campaigns plan, local projects, influencer activation, media budget and campaign implementation.    
  • Drive world-class product launches by partnering with the category leader, orchestrating cross-functional work streams, and ensuring flawless, on-time execution. 
  • Get marketing assets from appointed sources and vendors. Localize assets for Local market use, focus is to ensure language and content aligns with legal guidelines, consumer and brand focus. 
  • Crosscheck translations and assets for different marketing activities.    
  • Provide all relevant information the teams need to launch products (data sheets, gallery images)  
  • Establish strong relationships with other Global Marketing teams to identify common opportunities and/or challenges.    
  • Continuously and proactively manage categories Brand Building Investment (BBI) working closely with the category lead and other budget holders   
  • Understand legal requirements for non-EU markets and work with distributors and the global team to manage product certification.  

About you 

To succeed in the role, we expect you to have: 

  • Strong commercial skills with experience of at least 5 years of owning forecasting, P&L, business cases, and performance analysis.  
  • Experience in brand management, including simultaneous management of product marketing and communications. 
  • Proven track record of challenging the status quo and delivering innovative solutions. 
  • Effective communicator with strong presentation skills and the ability to influence others. 
  • Marketing-based analytical skills, including financial and return on investment analysis. 
  • Ability to plan and deliver strategic initiatives, with a high willingness to learn and collaborate. 
  • Articulate and confident individual, capable of communicating plans effectively. 
  • Strong team player with a positive and supportive demeanour. 
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Romanian, Czech, or Greek is considered an advantage.
